The saga continues. As you may know, Main Roads has agreed that there should be a reduced speed limit but they cannot implement this because there is no line marking on the Waroona section of the road. We are having trouble getting responses from anyone so we recently met with Murray Cowper MLA who has written to the Minister on our behalf.
There is evidence that a significant number of people are speeding and we believe that this is extremely dangerous given the width of the road, the number of curves and the fact that there are numerous intersections on curves, some of which have extremely poor visibility.
Another slow process but we will continue to lobby the authorities and our local members. If you feel like writing to your Shire about this matter, it might help the cause.
