Lake Clifton-Herron Residents Association submission on the Lake Clifton Road and Forrest Highway Intersection
Audit of intersections on Forrest Hwy Old Coast Road to Pinjarra Road Final
The intersection of Lake Clifton & Forrest Hwy is poorly marked, with no lead up lights or warnings that other intersections have. Lighting is very poor and the turn lane is short and a bit confusing.
Sadly the other Old Coast Rd intersection heading south is also poorly marked and highlighted.
Both intersections are near bends so an added safety issue.
Both need lighting & bigger signage!
There should be a long slip road to join the Forrest highway from lake clifton, it’s so dangerous to try and join the moving traffic from a standstill. Also getting off the highway to lake Clifton is just as bad. We want to use these route to avoid congestion in Mandurah but its just a horrible intersection. Needs slips road, better signage and lighting.
Both North and South need a slip lane when getting on to the Forrest Highway and there needs to be a much longer turning lane into LCR coming from the Northern end heading south bound.
