September happenings

Tomorrow, Sunday 30th August (apologies for the short notice) there will be a Wildlfower Walk and Talk at 2.00pm. Myra and Don Hicks, 60 Altona Dve Herron, have offered their bush block for a delightful afternoon walk.. Thanks very much. Please bring your own tea, coffee, etc., and a plate to share for afternoon tea. Spring flowers are really starting to come out and there will be plenty of exciting things to see and learn.

Next Saturday, September 5th, from 9.30am to 12noon, there will be another garden working bee at the Community Hall. Thanks to Graeme and Janice who came along last time. We have two more sections of garden to mulch, plant and prune. It is not hard work and a few more volunteers would be appreciated. Morning tea supplied.

Saturday 19th September the Community Hall will be a polling place for the Canning by-election. Don’t forget to vote. Consequently the Library will not be open.

Remember the AGM is on Sunday 20th September at 2.00pm. Please come along as it is YOUR association and there are some changes we would like to make. The AGM will be followed by afternoon tea and a Community Meeting.
