Gathering of People Concerned about the Point Grey Channel and Marina Proposal
People who are concerned about the proposed Channel and Marina Development at Point Grey are urged to attend a gathering on the Dawesville Estuary Foreshore (opposite the Leprechaun Deli) on Estuary Road, Dawesville, this SUNDAY 22nd JULY at 1:00pm.
This will be an opportunity for people to raise their concerns about the proposal, share stories and views about why it is important that we protect our valuable water ways from inappropriate development and hear about what YOU can do to have your concerns heard.
The Final approval for this development now rests with the Federal Minister for the Environment Tony Burke and information will be provided to people attending regarding actions they can take to highlight their concerns to the Minister and their Federal Parliament representatives.
Mandurah MLA, David Templeman, who is helping to organise this event, said that no matter if 50 or 500 people turn up, we just can’t stand by and let the Federal Minister make his determination with out knowing there is real concerns for our Estuary if this development is given the go ahead.
