Prohibited burning period extended in Waroona

Please be aware that the Shire of Waroona has extended the prohibited burning period in all zones to midnight on the 28th March 2015. In zone 8 (Lake Clifton) from the 29th March to at least 26th April you will need to obtain a permit to burn from the Fire Control Officer who will decide if it is safe to do so. It is possible that the permit period may also be extended so you need to check whether a permit is required. For accurate information visit http://www.waroona.wa.gov.au/fire-control-information.aspx

People living in other zones of Waroona or the City of Mandurah need to make their own enquiries.
